PSC FINGERSAVER · INDUSTRIAL HAND SAFETYENGINEERED DISTANCE · PRACTICAL CONTROL

Safe-use principles

Distance reduces exposure. Control still matters.

PSC FingerSaver is a holding aid. It does not eliminate the risks of hammering, slipping tools, falling objects or incorrect work methods.

Before use

Inspect, assess and brief.

The tool should be used only within the applicable site procedure and manufacturer-approved limitations.

  • Inspect the holder for cracks, loose parts, damage or wear.
  • Check compatibility with the held tool and the available clearance.
  • Keep hands, feet and other personnel outside the strike, slip and rebound paths.
  • Support heavy or unstable tools independently where needed.
  • Agree communication and stop-work signals for two-person tasks.
  • Wear task-appropriate PPE and follow the site permit or method statement.

Stop-work conditions

Do not improvise around a poor fit.

Stop if the holder does not engage securely, the striking line is unclear, the workpiece is unstable or the operator cannot maintain control.

These are general safety considerations, not a substitute for approved manufacturer instructions, task-specific training, site engineering controls or supervision.
